The SAP Market needed a book like this. The basics, well covered. There is something in there for anyone.

While there are several books out there that cover specific topics in SAP (ABAP, BI, FI/CO, etc), there was always a need of a book that covers well the basic. Most clients I know either build themselves a "SAP Navigation" course (what is very expensive to do and may not end up super well) or try to give this content in the context of a business course (before starting a business process course, navigation would be covered). The problem with this approach is twofold:
Cost - Time of specialized trainers are spent on generic navigation training. - Often, as it is included in many courses, attendees may repeat it several times, wasting time
Quality - With this approach, the delivery is often "basic navigation to be able to follow the course". So a lot is simply not covered at all.

This book covers the basics, but covers them all. Even for me, a senior SAP consultant with almost 20 yrs of experience, I can say I learned a thing or 2. We often overlook new features. This book covers them all and I strongly recommend it as away for anyone to get familiar with SAP.
If all users had access to this kind of information prior involvement with SAP, I am sure errors would be avoided and above all, user satisfaction would increase.
This is also a valid reading for seasonal consultants. Just go directly to the sections you want to focus on.

For our next SAP deal, I will recommend to this client the purchase of a few copies and make it circulate within the SAP team.

Praise for the Ultimate SAP User Guide - a Must-Have Book for ANY SAP ERP User

I have used SAP for a very long time and this is a must-have book. If you are a beginner I highly recommend it, but even for long-time users of SAP you will learn a lot. I learned about the hold/set data feature; this will improve productivity greatly with SAP. I also experienced trouble navigating the Object Manager; this book reviews that.

The Clipboard feature is a must-know for any SAP user. I have used the ALV for years for reporting; but I didn't know about the Freeze Column feature. The book reviews how to use the SAP InfoSet Query - while SAP is no longer investing in this, it is still great for ad hoc reporting and can be used as a datasource to many SAP BI tools.

The book uses the FLIGHT demo model which is available on any ERP system. I like too that the book reviews SAP Workplace, a common area where many SAP Workflows and approvals reside.

There are printing tips, sending the spool to PDF and much much more. I highly recommend this book if you are a new SAP user or even a long time SAP user such as myself. Go get this book today!

This book is a great way to help your customers/users hit the ground running. I've spent 19 years using SAP, and still I found it helpful to review!
Yes, there are newer user interfaces - but some hard-core SAP users (knowledge workers) will still need to be able to navigate through the system. And there are many topics covered, not just the UI. My personal favorite is Chapter 11.
I bought two copies - one for home, and one for work. My teammates are also very interested in it.

The landscape formations of Veneto, where these villas are located, may be divided into three types: plains surrounded by mountains, arid plains, and marshland. Gerrit Smienk is a landscape architect with many years teaching experience at the TU Delft and the Berlage Institute, Rotterdam, and is a recognized expert on the Italian Renaissance. Like no other book that I've read on the work of the Italian architect Andrea Palladio, this brilliant book discusses his buildings in relation to their place in the Veneto landscape. With the assistance of a host of students at the Faculty of Architecture at the TU Delft, and various architects and their assistants, and aerial photographers, and the owners and managers of the villas they examined, Gerrit Smienk and Johannes Niemeijer have produced a thoughtful, readable, and elegantly illustrated piece of analytical research that should find its way into the bookshelves of serious architects and landscape architects everywhere. In choosing to limit their focus to only ten of Palladio's well-known agricultural villas, Smienk and Neimeijer nevertheless cover a world of ground. The chapter headings alone suggest the scope of their undertaking: The Re-creation of the Venetian Terraferma, Ten Selected Villas, The Agricultural Villa as Model Farm, The Villa in a Production Landscape. But it is in the drawings and photographs that the book sings: photographs from the air and from the ground and within the buildings and in the gardens, site diagrams and more detailed site plans, exploded axonometrics, building plans, elevations and cross-sections, original material and carefully constructed modern drawings---each building within its unique setting is examined in such detail that the reader feels himself there at the scene, in the hands of an inspired and expert interpreter. If you have any interest at all in the broader aspects of the architecture of Andrea Palladio, or in the question of how it is that, in the final analysis, all good buildings draw their abiding character from the unique quality of their settings, then this is a book you will not wish to be without. As for me, I'm headed off to the Veneto as soon as spring rolls around!

It is common received wisdom that Europe's fascist movements were reactionary in their views of women, and even misogynist in their ideologies and policies. If the street fighters and tough-guys hated women and wanted to stay in the kitchen, the eugenicists and scientists viewed them only as breeding stock. Few considered women human beings. So we are told.

Like much received wisdom, there is a grain of truth in such ideas. But by all appearances,it is a rather tiny one.

In this study, Martin Durham examines the ideas of various fascist movements relating to women. He aspires to a European perspective, but is by far the most thorough and successful in his treatment of the British Union of Fascists (or BUF, for short), Sir Oswald Mosley's British Nazi movement of the 1930s, where he makes extensive use of primary sources. As Durham shows, the BUF's views on women were the very antithesis of reactionary, and indeed several members of the old "Suffragette" movement were active in the BUF. Taking on one issue at a time, the author contrasts the well-worn clich�s with the actual policy statements of Mosley and his cronies, with remarkable revelations as the result.

Thus we learn, for example, that the BUF not only did not oppose female employment outside the home, but in fact favored equal pay for equal work, with no regard for sex (p36f). Nor did the BUF oppose birth control measures (p38f) -- And in considering this, we must remember that such were not nearly as commonplace and widely accepted in the 1930s as they are today. (In fact, this permissive position cost the BUF some of its support from Britain's right-wing Roman Catholics.) More familiarly conservative, but still anything but hostile to women, was the BUF's stance on pornography and other sexual immorality, which it vigorously opposed (p42f). As might also be expected, pornography, prostitution and the white slave trade were generally identified with the Jewish element in British society.

Further, the BUF mobilized women for its activities: as support staff, but also as speakers and even candidates for the party's tickets for parliament. Sir Oswald is on the record proudly noting that his (comparatively minuscule) movement fielded more female candidacies than did either of the big national parties. The elite corps of the BUF's female cadre was trained in first aid and jujitsu, so they could defend themselves against the violent attacks of the leftist opposition (p50f). If that is not "empowering" (as the current jargon goes), then what is?

Of course, none of this means that the BUF were "feminists" as that word is currently understood; the title of this review is largely humorous. But then, ideological "feminism" as of today is quite divorced from the ideas of the old "Women's Rights" movement. These, as we can see, the BUF largely supported (for example, equitable wages for women workers); while this is not what we will tend to expect from a self-styled group of Nazis, their position is nevertheless quite clear from the evidence that Durham adduces. In acknowledging as much, Durham surely has no intention of in any way "rehabilitating" or promoting the BUF; but he professes a need for understanding fascism better, looking to the facts rather than to stereotypes. Drawing a parallel with modern right-wing movements (on which he is apparently an academic expert), he sees a danger that these are increasingly successful in recruiting female supporters. Should society wish to counteract this trend, he argues, it is necessary to understand how and why women are drawn to these groups, and a caricatured view of them is not helpful in this regard. While this reviewer is quite unfamiliar with such matters, and thus unable to comment on these particular facts -- His primary interesting being history rather than contemporary political sociology -- the argument as such appears a sound one.

In any case, Martin Durham's reappraisal of the (by the standards of its day) quite extraordinarily woman-friendly BUF is a welcome addition to our knowledge of historical Nazism. By and large, the only relevant complaint would be that the book's present title is somewhat misleading; the book focuses overwhelmingly on British matters, rather than women and "fascism" as an international phenomenon. This could have been made clearer. Still, this is quite a minor flaw to a highly original and useful work of historical scholarship.

Better than my NASM text book

I'm currently studying to become a NASM certified personal trainer, and the illustrations in this book are better than the ones in my NASM textbook. Not to mention the explanations, which are well written and easy to understand. This is so much more than a coloring book. I'm really not sure how I would learn every single muscle in the human body (something I do need to do for my certification) without the help of this book. Highly recommended.

The Human Body Coloring Book

This is one fantastic book. It is like a combination hardback and paperback book. This is the most detailed of all my coloring books including, Gray's, Netters, etc. The book is about 285 pages and is on both Anatomy and Phisiology. I like this book because each section has a detailed color picture explaining the system you are working on. And gives you instructions on how to label and color the picture. A study guide plus coloring all in one.

I purchased 2 A&P coloring books, the first one was a best seller and I wasn't impressed. This one is GREAT! Not only does it have coloring pages, it also has a lot of review and textbook information. Great quality for the price!

About the Author
David B. Brown, born and raised in Omaha, NE, is a lawyer who worked as a Senate Legislative Aide on Capitol Hill and later as a trial lawyer representing the indigent in Washington, DC. He left for Eastern Europe in 1996, worked for a NGO in Prague, and later taught at the university level in in Prague, and the post-graduate level in Budapest and Riga. He has written juvenile-justice pieces for the Washington Post, cultural-political commentary for the Prague Post and a number of Eastern European magazines, and environmental articles for the Anglo-American University Law Forum.

Drawn in by the author's easy tone, I quickly lost track of hours while traveling alongside David Brown in his compelling, thought-provoking collection of essays from Eastern Europe. A teenager when the Berlin Wall fell in 1989, my curiosity about life in Eastern Europe ---both before and after Communism--- runs high. The author's experiences offer a personal perspective on a complex place and time in history that remain, at least for this reader, mysterious and intriguing.

Practical guide that can teach you real-world hacking and penetration testing skills

I’ve enjoyed Kevin Beaver’s Hacking for Dummies series for over a decade. The first edition came out in 2004 and I reviewed the 4th edition here. Now in its 5th edition, the books 22 chapters progress from the basics of security to the hardening of an operating system, to the hacking of Web applications and more.

The new edition covers Windows 10 and Linux, and includes a number of more recently developed hacking tools.

For those looking for a high-level theoretical approach to network defense, look elsewhere. This is an in the trenches guide you can use to ensure that your organization's systems and network are secure.

The previous edition came out a little over 3 years ago and much has changed in the world of information security. Like the previous editions, if you are looking for a practical guide that can teach you real-world hacking and penetration testing skills, this updated edition of Hacking for Dummies is an excellent resource.
