Review
"This well conceived and beautifully produced volume will give the reader a dependable introduction to the religions of the world." --Gary A. Anderson, University of Notre Dame
"Studies of world religions are typically multi-traditional and polymethodic—several traditions are investigated by a wide variety of methods. Most books, however, tend to focus on only one aspect. In this book, Professor Lawrence E. Sullivan and his colleagues bring these two solitudes together in such a riveting conversation that the readers will never tire of eavesdropping." --Arvind Sharma, McGill University
"Lawrence Sullivan has created a textbook with a pluralistic focus on Religions. He draws strength from a diverse group of scholars, including sociologists and anthropologists, who recognize that within every religious tradition there are multiple divisions and points of view. The text is accessible, readable, and punctuated with visual images that help to make the religions come to life." --Marla J. Selvidge, University of Central Missouri
